So, we did it! After 5 months of in-depth planning, a brand-new events manager and putting together a team of stellar vendors, Night en Blanc was a success.
On the morning before Gala, staff were on campus at 7am. We are small but mighty team, and it’s a blessing to have such dedicated colleagues that take pride in our campus and making sure our presence is felt. It was truly a work and one that is never thankless. We thank each other, we have staff meetings to go over best practices and things that could be done better, we thank our board and of course our Executive Director for her tireless answering of calls and emails.
That is the heart of having a great team; being able to articulate concern and also, praise the doers. It is having your colleagues back and being able to laugh at all the silly mishaps that are bound to happen. It’s your leader taking the time to say, good job and seeing everyone’s hard work come to fruition.
We raised over $300,000 for the disability community and we have no signs of slowing down. A huge congratulations to our honorees, Tony Gladney, Lynda Tache and CCF Executive Director, Cindy Goussak.
